e-collars suck

It’s ok, I can only count to 3 anyway.

Flowers, a balloon ("Bounce Back Soon!") and a stuffed animal that I'll destuff when my e-collar comes off.

It’s been a long week. Toby’s surgery was on Tuesday and we were able to bring him home on Wednesday complete with some cool looking incisions and staples. He’s been mostly sleepy with a few moments of serious contemplation as to whether or not he could make it onto my bed before I could prevent his acrobatics.  Toby’s also been showing greater interest in Timmy (Toby’s feline brother and chew toy). Finally, his human sister, Echo, noticed that his “Sephora” (her word for “seroma”) is diminishing.

Here’s to a speedy recovery!

We’ll have more to say later, but wanted to have a “real” post after spending way too much time just uploading a pic, coming up with a tagline and choosing a theme.

E-Collars do suck. All dogs agree, I think. It will go fast, though; the first ten days, I mean. You’ll be amazed how quickly Toby will be up and around.

Good luck. You’re in the right place, for sure. I wouldn’t have made it without everyone.

toby, what a comfortable spot you’ve got! glad your surgery went well, don’t forget to continue with the medicinal naps…they really help with recovery!! can’t wait to hear more of your story! oh, and we agree, e-collars do suck. i was lucky enough to be able to wear a t-shirt to keep me from messing with my stitches….

That’s very cute – I can only count to 3 anyway :). Glad your surgery went well. We all agree that E-collars do suck. Like Gayle, Mackenzie wore t-shirts during her recovery. It was one of the best tips we got and made her much more comfortable. We will be keeping our paws crossed that Toby continues to have a very smooth and speedy recovery. Looking forward to hearing more about Toby’s adventures as a tripawd!
